The "Trances" series was born from a creative accident: portraits of my cousins taken in the dim light of a room, with a manual lens. The accidental blur that resulted fascinated me. This discovery fueled my desire to create atypical portraits, where subjects elude identification.
Each photograph is an invitation to hallucination. Captured at night or in the twilight, these faces and bodies in motion become figures in an unpredictable choreography. The subjects, as if possessed, evolve within a dreamlike atmosphere where reality fades away.
"Trances" is a quest for intrigue. I want the viewer to linger, to question the reality of these frozen moments, and to find their own meaning within them.
